Situated in the bustling Viktualienmarkt in Munich, the Mϋnchner Suppenkϋche is not to be missed. From the outside, it is rather unassuming. Tall, long tables are set out for people to stand at, nurse their soup, and head onto the next activity or back to work. Don’t let the “down to earthness” fool you.
I sampled my first bowl of soup there last month, while I was on a short vacation before heading north for the Christmas holiday. This particular day was rainy, more of a drizzly rain, with just enough chill to make you want to stop window shopping every hour or so and take cover to warm up.
The chalk board menu lured me away from sampling goodies at the Viktualienmarkt. I ducked in and ordered a creamy sausage and bean soup, with a chunk of bread. It was hearty, filling, tasted home made, and only cost about 5 euros! Make sure you stop there on your next visit.
Check out the post from delicious days.
